Texas Repeals Abortion Law After Study Finds Most Babies Would Vote Dem

The state of Texas rescinded a controversial new abortion law today after a study showed that a majority of the babies it would save would likely grow up to vote Democrat.

The study, which correlated racial and socioeconomic demographics with party affiliation and voting tendencies of women seeking abortions in the Lone Star State, was not acknowledged by state Republicans as the reason for the law's repeal.

"Annulling the Heartbeat Law had nothing to do with politics, but everything to do with protecting a woman's right to choose," State Senator Rex Rayburn (R) declared this morning.

"Ensuring every citizen's access to affordable healthcare, including all reproductive services, is one of this state's top priorities," Rayburn claimed.

According to sources inside the Texas capital, Republicans have actually begun discussing not only the possibility of making new funds available for abortion clinics, but for marketing campaigns that would encourage women to use them.

"The truth is that Earth is already dangerously overpopulated, and forcing women to have more children they don't want is short-sighted, irresponsible and cruel. That is why I plan in the upcoming days to introduce new legislation that will make it illegal for certain women to carry their unplanned pregnancies to term," Rayburn announced.

Rayburn has since shared that he has coined his new legislation 'The Rational Act'.
