Woke Activists Turn Sights on MLK, Obama for Racist Hand Gestures

Disillusioned protesters toppled statues and vandalized murals of several black icons yesterday in the latest wave of anti-white supremacist backlash to sweep the nation.

According to authorities, throngs of mostly white people targeted effigies of Barack Obama, Martin Luther King and Stephen Curry, among others, destroying hundreds of pieces of public art in several cities across the country after a collection of images featuring notable figures making racist hand gestures emerged on social media last night.

"Personally, I don't think the intent of these men was racist considering the fact that the photographs were taken before the alt-right's co-option of the 'OK' symbol, but that's just me, and I'd prefer not to be quoted on that," one police official remarked anonymously.

"I'm also pretty sure that in the case of Steph Curry that that's the gesture basketball players make when they shoot a three pointer, but again, please don't reference my name," the person said.

Regardless, both black and white, real and fictional figures from Kobe Bryant and Buckwheat to W.E.B. Du Bois and the Vegeta guy have now been branded as racist for their historical use of hand gestures.

"F*** W.E.B. Du Bois," one protestor said. "I don't know who he is, but f*** him."
