Fox News Selects 17 Year-Old Kaylee Cooper as Person of the Year

Fox News announced Monday that 17 year-old Kaylee Cooper is its 2019 Person of the Year.

A stark contrast to Time Magazine's selection of Climate Change activist Greta Thunberg as their Person of the Year, Fox cited the Wilmington, North Carolina girl's 'quintessentially American' lifestyle for their decision to honor her.

Kaylee personifies everything that it means to be American. She loves freedom and Snapchatting with her friends, Ariana Grande and just 'chilling'. A solid C student, she isn't too worried about self-indulgent things like graduate school or global warming," her FoxNews.com profile reads.

"I just want to be me, you know? Just hang out and stuff, or whatever," Cooper remarked.

"I've really gotten into fresh seafood lately. Like poke and eel," addedCooper. "I hope my parents get me an iPad Air for Christmas."

Cooper, who expects to graduate in June, says she isn't too sure what she wants to do after high school.

"I don't know. Maybe start a business or go to college, or something," she said. "I'll probably take a gap year to think about it."
