Fox News Stands Behind Laura Ingraham in Mengele Birthday Flap

One day since standing behind her for defending a number of white supremacists on her show Thursday, Fox News is again refusing to condemn "The Ingraham Angle" host Laura Ingraham after the conservative host celebrated Nazi scientist Josef Mengele's birthday Friday.

Featured during the program's weekly birthday segment, a portrait of Mengele - also known as the 'Angel of Death' for his role as head physician at the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland between the years of 1940-1945 - appeared in between photographs of Donald Rumsfeld and G. Gordon Liddy while Ingraham praised his, "Dedicated and significant work in the field of medical science and personal freedom."

Later, Ingraham said calls for the segment to be removed from social media platforms, "Tantamount to 'jackbooted Soviet-style censorship of independent voices'."

"To shun such people for the values they fought for, values like strong border enforcement, national sovereignty and scientific progress, is at odds with our constitution and is frankly just a shame," Ingraham remarked.

Mengele, a fascist whose research at Auschwitz included using living prisoners to investigate the effects of extreme freezing temperatures and phosphorous burns on the human body is generally regarded as a bad person by most people.

"We'll, that's their opinion, and it's wrong, but this is America and they're entitled to it," Ingraham said.

"Meanwhile, they'll continue to know better than to go outside naked during a blizzard without giving any thanks to Dr. Mengele," Ingraham noted.
