Who Said it First? Macron or Mussolini? (Questions: 1/4)

The Garcon-Wonder Emmanuel Macron is facing some stiff challenges in times to come.

Not least, the somewhat superficially sinister character of some of his pronouncements.

Can you work out which quotes are from Macron, and which are from Mussolini?

1. The status quo leads to self-destruction.

2. Socialism is a fraud, a comedy, a phantom, a blackmail.

3. I come all wreathed in a reputation the press has made for me.

4. Judge me on my actions. That’s all that counts.

5. For us the national flag is a rag to be planted on a dunghill.

6. Honesty compels me to say that I am not a socialist. But so what?

7. Popularity isn’t my compass. Unless it can help one to act, to be understood… that’s what counts.

8. When I travel on a topic of my choosing, I speak of the topic of my choosing.
