Christmas Miracle Dog Now Long Since Dead

Bingo, the three-legged miracle dog who survived Hurricane Katrina to somehow track her family down 300 miles away, has reportedly long since died.

"Yeah, she died a long time ago," Michael Tucker, a friend of the dog's owner Joseph Irwin, said.

Bingo, whose unlikely story of perseverance captured the heart of the nation in 2005 after she was found that Christmas morning roaming the Beaumont, Texas trailer park Irwin and his wife Debra had been re-located to, has been dead nearly a decade.

"Yeah, I'd say Joe had to put her down around 2007, 2008," Tucker said. "Joe and Deb have also since passed away."

Tucker, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, will also soon be dead, his doctors say.

"Yup, I don't have much longer," Tucker remarked.

A mother of six, Bingo is survived by none as each of her puppies have also since died.
