BREAKING: Western States Cancel Thanksgiving Holiday

IMG_7013.JPGSEATTLE, Washington (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – November 24, Thanksgiving Day, will not be a holiday in the states of California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada.

Meeting in Seattle yesterday, the governors of the four Western states which voted for Hillary Clinton signed a joint proclamation cancelling the upcoming traditional celebration.

“There is nothing to be thankful for in 2016 in as far as the presidential elections are concerned,” the proclamation states.

“We urge our citizens to instead make November 24 a day of mourning after that devastating loss of one of the most qualified candidates to ever run for president of the United States,” California Governor Jerry Brown told The Adobo Chronicles.

The governors also urged all shopping centers throughout the four states to close on Friday, November 25, in solidarity with the more than 62 million people who voted for Clinton.

They also encouraged citizens to donate to the Clinton Foundation instead of shopping on Black Friday and the rest of the holiday season.
